Plans are under way for Imagine’s fourth annual event in Sheffield on 6th and 7th September 2016.
With a focus on the Cultural aspects of civic engagement we are pleased to announce our two key note speakers, leading cultural thinker Francois Matarasso (https://regularmarvels.com/) and Chief Executive of Museums Sheffield, Kim Streets.
The talks will be accompanied by a private viewing of an exhibition drawing on the full spectrum of research and activity that has taken place over the last four years of the imagine program. The exhibition will include films, paintings, community art, soundscapes and interactive digital media.
The Imagine Project’s Principal Investigator Professor Kate Pahl says, “ I’m excited about bringing everything together in one space. The Millennium Galleries are at the heart of our city and it will be fascinating to see the diversity and breadth of work that has taken place across Imagine in one place. I’m hoping that this will be an opportunity to talk about what culture actually means in the context of imagining the future and creating real potential for change. It’s one of the things we set out to do four years ago and I’m anticipating a very interesting couple of days.”
The 7th September will provide a day of interactive presentations including guided walks, film screening and discussion groups. For more information on how to attend please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
